Tips for a Seamless Exhibitor Experience

Label Everything

Every crate, box, and pallet must have a label on at least two sides. Include the show name, your company name, booth number, and the general contractor's name. If a label falls off, your crate could be lost in the "bone yard."  

Consolidate Your Shipment

Try to ship everything on a single bill of lading. Convention centers often charge "drayage" (handling fees) based on weight, but with minimums per shipment. Multiple small shipments can cost significantly more than one consolidated pallet.  

Inspect Upon Arrival

When your freight arrives at the booth, inspect it immediately. If there is damage, document it with photos and report it to the general contractor before you begin setting up.  

Plan for Empty Crate Storage

Remember that once you unpack, your crates will be taken away for storage during the show. detailed "Empty" stickers are crucial to ensure your crates are returned to you promptly at the end of the event.

Our Trade Show Process

1. Pre-Show Planning

We start by reviewing your exhibitor manual. We identify the target move-in dates, marshalling yard locations, and specific drayage (material handling) regulations of the venue.

2. Transport and Storage

We pick up your booth properties from your facility. If you are shipping early to save money, we can store your items in our secure warehouse until the show begins.

3. Move-In Execution

Our driver checks into the marshaling yard and delivers your freight to the receiving dock. We obtain the “Bill of Lading” sign-off from the show contractor to prove delivery.

4. Post-Show Logistics

Once the show closes, the chaos returns. We assist with the move-out process, picking up your crated items from the dock and returning them to your facility or transporting them directly to the next show on your tour.
