Nationwide Asset Disposition and IT Logistics
Streamline your technology updates with cost-effective solutions from a trusted 3PL provider. We handle everything from data center migrations to secure recycling.
In today’s digital landscape, companies are leasing ever-increasing volumes of computer equipment. This hardware ranges in size from massive, climate-controlled servers to wafer-thin laptops and mobile devices. While this influx of technology drives business growth, it presents significant logistical problems regarding how to most efficiently swap in new hardware for its aging predecessors.
The limited availability of office space, IT personnel, and staging areas becomes particularly problematic when executing medium-to-large-scale technology updates. Hollander Storage & Moving acts as your 3PL (Third Party Logistics) provider to solve these challenges. We provide cost-effective solutions that streamline IT logistics projects, ensuring your business stays current without the chaos of unmanaged equipment turnover.
Hollander Storage & Moving is a premier asset disposition company based in Chicago but serving clients across the United States. Together with United Van Lines, we have decades of experience relocating computer equipment. United Van Lines’ nationwide network makes us the perfect choice for projects anywhere in the country. Whether you are refreshing a single satellite office or coordinating a simultaneous rollout across fifty states, we have the infrastructure to execute the job.
In today’s challenging economy, your IT personnel’s time is at a higher premium than ever. They should be focused on network security and software optimization, not lifting boxes or palletizing old monitors. Hollander makes it very cost-and time-efficient to outsource the physical labor and logistics of asset management. We have the personnel and specialized equipment to facilitate any type of computer updating project, allowing your technical staff to remain focused on their core responsibilities.
Security is our top priority. We understand that "asset disposition" is not just about moving metal; it is about protecting data. We maintain a strict Chain of Custody throughout the entire lifecycle of the asset. From the moment we disconnect a device to the moment it is recycled or returned to the lessor, every step is documented.

SINCE 1888 HOLLANDER STORAGE & MOVING
We start by reviewing your asset list. We determine the volume of equipment, its location, and its final destination (lease return, recycling, or redeployment).
Our crews arrive on-site to perform the physical disconnects. We use specialized packaging materials to protect equipment during transit. For lease returns, we verify serial numbers against your master list.
We transport the assets using our secure fleet. For high-security projects, we offer sealed trucks and GPS tracking to maintain the Chain of Custody.
If required, we perform on-site or off-site data destruction. This can involve software wiping or physical shredding of hard drives, accompanied by a Certificate of Destruction.
We deliver the assets to their final destination. You receive a comprehensive report detailing the disposition of every item, ensuring you have the audit trail needed for compliance.
Review your lease agreements at least 90 days before they expire. Identify the specific return requirements, including original packaging or cables, to avoid penalties.
Ensure all critical data is backed up before our crews arrive. While we handle equipment with extreme care, data redundancy is a best practice for any IT migration.
Clearly mark equipment that is staying versus equipment that is going. Use colored stickers or designated staging areas to prevent accidental disposal of active hardware.
No matter where you’re moving in the Chicagoland area, Hollander is here to help!
