No trip to Chicago is complete without a visit to Grant Park. Also home to the infamous Buckingham Fountain, this park boasts 319 acres of green space, museums, a rose garden, and an abundance of nearby top-rated restaurants. Grant Park is a great starting off point to any Chicago newcomer.
Right up the street from Grant park is the must see 24.5 acre Millennium Park. The park is home to the public art sculpture Cloud Gate (also known as The Bean) as well as Crown Fountain. Millennium Park has pristine views of Lake Michigan and is home to a number of summer concerts at the Pritzker Pavilion. While you’re visiting, stop in to the highly rated New American restaurant, The Gage.
Chicago gets cold in the winter, and a trip to the Art Institute of Chicago is a perfect cold weather activity. It houses a permanent collection of 300,000 works of art and has plenty of rotating exhibits. After an expansion in 2009, the museum is now the second largest art museum in the US. Art Institute of Chicago even offers free admission on Thursday nights (for Illinois residents).
Home of the Chicago Clubs, Wrigley Field has been around for over 100 years. Finished in 1914, it’s one of the oldest Major League Baseball parks in the US. Prepare yourself for fun day at the ball park, because Chicago Cubs fans love their team.
Wicker Park is not only a park, but an entire neighborhood. Boasting some of the trendiest spots in Chicago, you will never run out of things to do among all the neighborhoods high fashion boutique, gourmet restaurants, hip coffee shops, and dive bars. Grab a cup of coffee at The Wormhole and explore from there.

Great experience with Hollander’s crew: Dominic R, Alex P, and Chris C. They were contracted (military move) to deliver some of our things that had been packed up and stored for a year, in a different location. They were professional and worked without complaints in the heat, placing our items carefully where I requested. They maneuvered a large, deep freezer down a tight staircase easily. They were thorough in helping me check to make sure all our things were accounted for, since it had changed locations/companies a few times before making it here. They were so helpful and courteous – I am very happy with my experience and would definitely recommend them!
